Power section is the main component of the positive displacement motor determining the basic performance characteristics of the motor, its operational life and between service period.
Radius-Service manufactures power sections in the size range of 43–240 mm
(1 11/16"– 9 5/8" in), length of 6 500 mm (21.33ft), and lobe configuration of 2/3 – 9/10 for different applications.
The lobe configuration of the power section should be selected for the required rotation speed and torque:
The conventional power section ensures reliable and optimum performance under the following conditions: bottom-hole temperature up to 120° C, density of the drilling fluid up to 2 000 kg/m³, maximum content of sand and other abrasive particle 1%, of solids — 8%, of chloride ions — 50 kg/m³. Maximum oil content must not exceed 10% for the power section stator with the standard elastomer.
